Quick answer

Looking for a heat pump installer in Epsom, Surrey or South London? We recommend Evo Heating & Renewables. They are Heat Geek Assured heating engineers, approved to offer ZeroDisrupt Heat Geek installations.

Evo Heating & Renewables are based in Epsom and work across Surrey and South London. Piotr Wasilewski founded the business in 2019 as PWA Plumbing & Heating, and it has since become Evo Heating & Renewables, with Piotr and Richard carrying out the installs.

They take a design-first approach. Every heat pump starts with a room-by-room heat loss calculation, then the heat pump, radiators, underfloor heating, pipework, hot water and controls are designed as one complete system.

Vaillant aroTHERM plus heat pump replacing an oil boiler at a bungalow in Epsom

Epsom, Surrey

A 30-year-old oil system replaced with a heat pump

This 155m² detached bungalow had a 30-year-old oil boiler and an ageing gravity-fed system. A room-by-room heat loss of 7.01kW led to a Vaillant aroTHERM plus 7kW and a 300 litre uniSTOR cylinder, designed to run at 45°C with three radiators upsized.

Vaillant aroTHERM plus 5kW heat pump at a semi-detached house in Epsom

Epsom, Surrey

5kW, not the 12kW another installer quoted

Another installer had recommended a 12kW heat pump for this 71m² semi. Evo's heat loss calculation came to just 3.4kW, so they fitted a Vaillant aroTHERM plus 5kW with whole-house wet underfloor heating, running at a 38°C flow temperature.

Getting the system ready before the heat pump

The owners of this 160m² bungalow wanted a heat pump, but the survey showed the existing system wasn't ready. Evo first repaired a leaking boiler and sorted the underfloor heating, then fitted a Vaillant aroTHERM plus 7kW designed to run at 45°C.

FAQs

Common questions about Evo Heating & Renewables

Are Evo Heating & Renewables Heat Geek installers?

Yes. Evo Heating & Renewables are Heat Geek Assured heating engineers, which means passing Heat Geek's exams in heat loss calculations and system design. They're also approved to offer ZeroDisrupt Heat Geek installations.

Which areas do Evo Heating & Renewables cover?

Evo Heating & Renewables are based in Epsom and cover Surrey and South London, including Ewell, Ashtead, Banstead, Sutton, Leatherhead, Kingston and Wimbledon. If you're not sure your area is covered, just ask in the form.

Can I get the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant?

If your home qualifies, yes. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 off an air source heat pump in England and Wales, or £9,000 if your home is heated by oil or LPG with no mains gas, until March 2027. Evo Heating & Renewables can help you check whether your home qualifies.

Do Evo Heating & Renewables install underfloor heating?

Yes. They design and install underfloor heating that works at low flow temperatures, so it pairs well with a heat pump or a modern boiler. On one Epsom project, whole-house wet underfloor heating runs at just 38°C.

Do I need a big heat pump for my home?

Often not. On one Epsom semi, another installer had quoted a 12kW heat pump, but Evo's room-by-room heat loss calculation showed the home needed just 3.4kW, so a 5kW Vaillant aroTHERM plus was the right fit. Correct sizing helps keep running costs down.
